How to Use the Subjunctive With Dès Que

The French term dà ¨s que  is a conjunction that means as soon as. Dà ¨s que does not take the subjunctive. Examples Je lachà ¨terai dà ¨s quil arrivera.Ill buy it as soon as he arrives. Je te donnerais  le livre dà ¨s que  je  le finirai.Ill give you the book as soon as I finish it. As you can see in the examples above, this conjunction is normally followed by the future  tense, rather than the present tense.
