Religion and Churches Are Dead - What the Church Needs

Religion and Churches Are Dead - What the Church NeedsTheology paper topics on churches being dead include topics on the importance of religion in our lives, what role God plays in our lives, the social aspect of religion and the role of religion in encouraging the moral values we practice. This article will discuss the last two topics. The importance of religion in our lives The role of religion in promoting moral values In the United States, Christianity is the most dominant religion. Religion is an essential part of the American culture and people have faith in it. People participate in religious services frequently. It has become a fact that most people believe in God and often question their own existence. This is a great thing and something we should celebrate. But unfortunately, many people live a life that seems to contradict this belief. For example, people commonly engage in self-destructive behaviors such as drug abuse, theft, alcoholism, depression, and other illnesses that are rampant in the community. If they truly believed in God, they would not behave this way. In addition, many people do not have meaningful relationships with God and tend to remain single. Their lack of relationship with God causes them to exhibit inappropriate behavior. This may include overeating, cigarette smoking, or excessive drinking, or even abuse of drugs. These people are not acting out of rebellion against God but because they do not believe in Him. However, if they take this attitude to their relationships, they can destroy the foundation of their marriages. It is common for spouses to become angry at each other, find fault with each other, feel unloved, and allow the problems to go unresolved. If they truly believe in God, they would not allow this to happen. So, if they truly believe in God, they need to make a decision to remove themselves from this community that leads to such a destructive lifestyle. Religion cannot be the primary force that prevent their spiritual g rowth, but it can and should be a tool in the toolbox of self-growth.In order to build a bridge between the world of God and the world of people, the Christian community should follow these guidelines. First, pray for the United States, pray for people in the church who are non-Christians, as well as other groups, including the Muslims and Jews.Second, Christians should spend time in worship and community together and listen to each other and share their hope with each other. And third, Christian leaders should help others learn the truth about God and His love and how to live out His teachings. People need to come into the community knowing they are loved and cared for.
